Brno–Vyškov line upgrade

The Dial Telecom company has upgraded its own optical network in the Brno-Vyškov-Prostějov – Olomouc segment to 2Gbps.
The ever-increasing traffic load and increasing customer requirements on this connection were the reason.
The network upgrade at the above mentioned segment was necessary in order to guarantee qualitative requirements on the Ethernet transmissions and to satisfy increasing customer requirements for transmission capacity.

The technology base of Dial Telecom’s backbone network is their own metropolitan, national and international optical network. The metropolitan network in Prague consists of 160 km of their own connections and 230 km of leased connections. Dial Telecom now has sufficient capacity in all important locations in Prague, as well as outside of Prague, which is especially thanks to having built a capacity connection among Prague telehouses and key hand-over nodes with other operators.
