Dial Telecom Sells Uschovna.cz Server

Capsa-Premier.cz, which was established as an association of Capsa.cz and the PREMIER system company, is the new owner of the number one service for sharing files on the market.


Dial Telecom, a leading Czech provider of telecommunication services, has sold the well-known server Uschovna.cz to Capsa-Premier.cz s.r.o. Dial Telecom specializes in providing services to business and wholesale clients and the Uschovna.cz service was just one of their additional products for end users.


The transaction in the order of millions of Czech crowns was confirmed by the signatures of both parties on Tuesday, 18 May 2010. “Several prospective buyers were interested in the Uschovna.cz server, including companies with foreign capital. We preferred the offer from Capsa-Premier.cz, which persuaded us of their ambitious plan for development of this service,” says Zdenek Sivek, the chairman of the board of Dial Telecom a.s. “The funds obtained from the sale will be used for further development of our optical infrastructure,” added Zdenek Sivek.
 

The new owner of Uschovna.cz is the association of Capsa.cz server and PREMIER system a.s. and Witto s.r.o. Capsa.cz is a web system for sharing data and for administration of projects. PREMIER system a.s. specializes in development and sales of an economic-information system. WITTO s.r.o is an accounting company that provides its services in Slovakia. The newly established company Capsa-Premier.cz s.r.o. already administers Easy.Capsa.cz, their current service for transmission and individual sharing of data.
For us, the purchase of Uschovna.cz is a suitable addition to our services. Uschovna.cz is number one on the Czech market. We believe it will promote our services, i.e. our product Capsa.cz and the Premier economic system,” said Jan Raab, the executive head of Capsa-Premier s.r.o. ”At the same time, we see interesting potential for further development of the server, so we are preparing improvements to the quality of this service.”


Expected functionalities of Uschovna.cz beginning 1 July 2010

Beginning 1 July 2010, the new owner will introduce four new message volume limits, up to 2 GB! The lowest alternative will continue to be free, as has it has been, however, the limit will be increased from the current 250 MB to 300 MB and the saving time period will be guaranteed for the whole period of 14 days regardless of when the first of its recipients made their download. Messages in volumes over the 2 GB limit will be charged. The saving time period can also be extended up to 90 days, for a fee.
Another welcome change will be a decrease in the number of steps necessary to save messages while maintaining the intuitive control and the possibility of using the abovementioned over-standard services. The same qualities and limits are already offered on EasyCapsa.cz.


Upcoming additional services of the company
“In the further horizon, we are also going to offer other interesting functionalities for business clients,” says Jan Raab. The additional services for companies might include, for example, messages with a company letterhead or integration of services into a company’s webpage.


Technical background for takeover of Uschovna.cz server
By the routing of the www.uschovna.cz domain to a new IP address as of 1 July 2010, the service will be provided on two new mirror servers of Capsa-Premier.cz with a capacity of over 10 TB. In the case of incidental exceeding of the capacity, other servers, which are today used for Capsa.cz service, will automatically kick in. With this change of operator, users will not lose older messages: these will be kept on the Dial Telecom servers for 14 days and then be deleted based on the current rules once this period is up or after they have been downloaded by the first recipient, and their download will be automatically routed. Hence, customers should not encounter any inconvenience due to the change.

Uschovna.cz is a leading Czech server for sending large files via the Internet with connectivity of 1 GB. Its web site is visited by over 611,000 users (294,000 who are unique) every month, who view over 1.7 million pages. Before the recent increase to 250 MB in capacity, the server sent 255,000 data packs, i.e. 11,809,371,099 KB of data. The services of Uschovna.cz were provided by Dial Telecom to end users free of charge, with only a computer with Internet access and a standard browser the only requirements for a user to send data.
