Dial to buy wholesale division of MAI

The telecommunication group has agreed to conclude a contract of purchase for the wholesale division of telecommunication services from Master Internet, s.r.o. This transaction will be realized in the first quarter of this year.
The previous year, 2009, saw Master Internet distinctly decrease the number of distribution points of its telecommunication network and, instead, concentrate on the services of its data centres. With this new agreement with Dial Telecom Group, it has finally decided to terminate its activities in the wholesale field.
Thanks to this sale, Master Internet will acquire further means to strengthen its position in the field of data centres and hosting services. “The wholesale of telecommunication services stopped fulfilling our expectations. In fact, in the last two years, our market share in this segment has not increased. On the contrary, this year we are planning further investments into the expansion of housing space,” comments Filip Spacek, the Operating Manager of Master Internet.
"With this transaction, Dial Telecom will acquire attractive clients to whom it will offer the advantages of the largest optical network in Central Europe,” explains Tomas Strasak, a member of the Dial Telecom Board.
In addition to this transaction, both companies have agreed on long-term cooperation in both segments of telecommunication services.
