The Dial Telecom has expanded its international SDH infrastructure. A new SDH connection to Ancotel in Frankfurt am Main has been created, where Dial Telecom a.s. has become a member of the Virtual Meet Me Room service. This service allows fast and effective implementation of SDH based connections with more than 150 operators from all over the world. At the same time, a new high-capacity connection to Bratislava was also created, connecting the Czech and the Slovak SDH Dial Telecom networks.
The Virtual Meet Me Room service is mainly used for the international exchange of voice traffic of the highest possible quality. It will also be possible to secure handover of the E1, E3, STM1, STM4, STM16 to STM64 data connections or its multiples from the Dial Telecom Group nodes in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to major foreign operators.
“A big advantage of our expanded international SDH infrastructure is that it has been fully built using our own infrastructure. To our clients, ranging from large international operators to multinational corporations, we are able to offer our services in a quality that we fully control” says Tomáš Strašák, the Dial Telecom, a.s. Sales Director for the Czech Republic. “We believe that this investment will enable us to increase our international voice traffic and decrease costs for externally rented capacities within the entire Dial Telecom Group”, added Strašák.
The SDH network is one of the standards supported within the Dial Telecom Group. This network has several nodes in Prague and additional nodes in Brno, Ostrava, Hradec Králové, Ústí nad Labem, Pilsen and České Budějovice. The ring topology allows for back-up of the individual backbone routes. Dial Telecom Slovakia also operates its own nation-wide SDH network.
