Praha - Brno - Wuhan
At the end of March and beginning of April, Dial Telecom a.s., one of the leading providers of telecommunication services, launched the remotest direct data connection of two branches so far for its significant customers. The data circuit connects the cities of Brno and Wuhan in the Chinese province of Chu-pei, which are a distance of more than eight thousand kilometers apart. The latest connection replaced the technologically outdated connection through the VPN tunnel which, for the given distance, proved unstable and with high latency.
For the implementation of the connection, cooperation with only two foreign suppliers was necessary. According to the available data of Dial Telecom, at this time, it is the longest direct connection of two subjects that a domestic provider has ever ensured. The implementation of the service, from the primary layout up to the final implementation, took the Dial Telecom specialists almost four months and it was launched at the break of March and April.

The solution implemented through the interface of the Ethernet Leased Line provides a stable connection with the capacity of 2 Mbps, it also has a strong security of the data transmission and low latency. The data in the backbone network are fully backed-up. Non-stop monitoring of the network by a Dial Telecom technician is guaranteed. The infrastructure primarily makes use of active elements from CISCO.
