Thanks to optical networks, Dial Telecom can provide the companies in these business centers and residences with Internet, data and voice services at the highest available level, comparable to the world’s highest.

With an optical network, any reduction of the transmission speed rather comes from the type of the used end devices than the network itself. Compared to a metallic network, it has, apart from a higher transmission capacity, a wide range of other advantages. These are, in particular, the electromagnetic immunity, operations security, resistance to wiretapping, high operational reliability and both the mechanical and chemical endurance of optical cables.

The network copies the construction of office premises
The services of Dial Telecom and its metropolitan network are used by a number of significant administrative buildings in Prague. These are, in particular, the Polygon House business center, the Pankrac House and the Trianon administrative center in Prague 4 or Zlaty Andel (Gold Angel) in Smichov, BC Qaudrio. The Dial Telecom metropolitan network currently consists of 250 km of optical cables and offers high transmission speed capacity at multiple 10 Gb (n x 10 Gb). It is connected to the Dial Telecom backbone network in the Czech Republic and also to almost all existing networks abroad.

Optical network as a convergence medium of the future
Dial Telecom began to develop its metropolitan network in Prague after 2000 and it invests considerable financial means into its further development. The fixed connection of clients using an optical cable, which is mostly safely underground, not only enables high speed and unlimited transmission capacity of the data and voice connection, but also simplicity and savings in operational and investment costs. The metropolitan optical network copies the construction particularly of office premises in Prague.

Dial Telecom provides complex services: from building the route to the customer, end devices, to the guaranteed Internet access. Its own backbone and metropolitan optical network not only enables installation of high quality connections with high capacities, but also offers a very interesting price. The technologies using the optical network as the basic transmission layer are mostly based on the DWDM or CWDM. Over the basic infrastructure, Dial Telecom operates an extensive IP MPLS network, the L2 Ethernet based network and the SDH network for synchronous transmissions, particularly of voice.
