Dial Telecom a.s., one of the leading providers of data and voice services, has implemented the BGP FlowSpec technology into its backbone network. It will enable effective responses to cyber security threats.

The BGP FlowSpec technology, defined by the document "RFC 5575", enables routing, reducing size of or entirely dumping traffic of specifically defined data flows, which substantially speeds up, improves and refines control of undesirable data traffic, such as DDoS attacks, regardless of the platform used, i.e. various devices from various producers.

“Following a sophisticated system of detecting traffic anomalies, BGP FlowSpec is another security policy step of our backbone network along with our membership in the FENIX and an active participation within the CSIRT.CZ platform," says Zbyněk Pospíchal, a member of the Dial Telecom network management team.
